Moto w370...it's out!

Looks like the Motorola w370 is available at Target (edit) now...so it'll only be a matter of time before it's on the web and thus ripe for me to review. I'm happy that Tracfone has finally got a slick-looking, pretty-barn-full-featured phone on their service...:)

Speaking of reviews, look for an Audiovox 8600 review here later tonight! It's coming!

Hey, when you say physical locations, where do you mean?

I am sure he means brick and mortar stores such as Wal-Mart or Target.

looked and didn't find on their websites...

I bought 2 last night and already a couple things tick me off about the phone. The major one is that it costs .3 units to send AND recieve text messages.

Um... that is what all tracfones cost....

no... it costs 0.3 to send txt msgs not to recieve them...

Older GSM Tracfones were .3 units to send text messages and free to receive them...but I think all newer GSM Tracfones are .3 units sending and receiving texts...Rellimdr, does it says on the back of your phone package its free to receive text messages?...thanks.

Can you answer a couple questions I have about the w370..

What is the keypad like? (hard to press keys, small, etc.)

Are the ringers loud and are the preloaded ones any good?

Does it have multiple names per number?

Here's what the packaging looks like

The keys are easy to press. Can't help on the ringtones (I am deaf). The phone book allows for multiple numbers per name.

The ring tones are alot louder and better than on my nokia 2600 tracfone. Tracfones site offers downloadable mp3 type ring tones for about $3 each or 8 units.

If you feel up to it I think we'd all appreciate a few pics of the phone itself, maybe even a video :)

I placed my Razr next to the W370 for compairing purposes.

It's just another Compal phone. It's the V176 with a nicer case, external lights and MP3 ringtones.

On target.com you can now see the w370, which shows a huge tracfone branding on the front. The pictures from the sweeper appear to not have the branding. Is there one or is there not?

No, the only TracFone logo is in the battery door on the back of the phone. There are no Trac logos inside the flip anywhere.
