Sorry...

Due to a combination of various things (ISP going out for 9 hours, a late concert that lasted longer than it should've, my falling asleep while doing homework) I wasn't able to get the Marbl review up last night. So it'll be up tonight...

Do you know if Virgin Mobile phones are very easy to unlock, or are they hard-locked, I would like to try and get on of the Marbl ones, but I don't really want to be tied down to Virgin Mobiles service. Since you said they have them at Wal-Mart for a decent price, I'd like to get one and have it unlocked if that is possible.

Also, do you know if it's possible to unlock an XE Mobile phone, I have the Nokia 6061 under XE, the service time is up, and the phone is kind of nice, but I hate the XE service. Would like to put my T-Mobile to go Gold rewards SIM in either the Marbl or the XE Nokia 6061.

From a different A. Nonymous than the first post

Virgin Mobile phones use the CDMA network, a SIM cannot be used in one. Therefore, your T-Mo SIM will not work in that phone. Even using one on another CDMA network requires reflashing, a complicated process.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about XE's phones other than other posters on HoFo say they are almost impossible to unlock.

I just got a new marbl from Virgin, and it seems to have a horrible battery life. It was on the charger all night, I never made a single call today, and it was down to 2 slashes on the battery meter 10 hours later. They claim you get 9, yes I said 9 days standby time.... more like 9 hours! I unfortunately didn't search the net before purchasing this phone. There are reports all over the place of battery life issues. I contacted Virgin's support, but I anticipate this phone is being returned very soon.

Ah, see I didn't know about Virgin Mobiles being CDMA, I live in GSM country, and we have Virgin Mobiles for sale at all the drugstores and discounters around here, so I figured they were GSM like all the others are in my location. Weird that they are available in my location but Tracfone CDMA phones are impossible to get where I live.
